This article describes the anthropic principle, in its “strong” and “weak” forms. Websuspicion about the anthropic principle in many circles; however it in fact was to be seen as an explanatory proposal in the context of a multiverse (which was mentioned earlier in the paper). The physics based approach by Carter [10] in his paper opened up much interest in the Anthropic Principle as a scientific method of explanation.
