WebJul 27, 2011 · On the GH2 you could not record in ExTele 1:1 crop mode with HDMI active but the recent hack by Vitaliy Kiselev is attempting to make that work (currently not reliable). On the Canon 600D ‘Digital Zoom’ recording mode and in-camera focus assist work fine via HDMI but the in-camera focus assist on the GH2 doesn’t magnify via HDMI. WebVK is saying that since you are not interested in using the GH2 for recording on the SD card- you can just set the bit rate settings to something REALLY REALLY REALLY low- so as to give you something like 50 hours on a slow 8gig card... This way you can use the HDMI recording mode (which give you good colours).
