The manifold flange will now not be flat against the head so they will leak. Changing the bolts is not going to stop the manifolds from leaking unfortunately. WebJan 14, 2024 · Unfortunately, the problem is not really with the quality of the bolts. The Ram's exhaust manifold design is faulty (Ram/Dodge has known about this for 11 years now). The manifold heats up, warps, and snaps these poor bolts --- which is much better than stripping out the threads in the head I suppose.
